Employment: General Service Technician/Quick Lube Tech/Tire Tech

Responsible for servicing automobiles and light trucks by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Retrieves customer vehicles into service area for service preparation.*
  • Performs all tire servicing jobs to include mounting, dismounting, balancing, repairing and TPMS diagnosing.
  • Maintains technical knowledge to perform routine repairs and maintenance service work requested in accordance with approved quality and efficiency standards.
  • Completes service related paperwork per RTM standards in an accurate manner.
  • Assists ASE service technicians in the completion of various repairs.
  • Completes pre/post-test drives of vehicles in accordance with company, GA law, and DOT standards as needed.
  • Assists with inventory control activities by unloading delivery trucks, shelving inventory and retrieving/delivering parts.
  • Provides customer shuttle transportation as needed.* Pick up of parts/tires/customers as needed.
  • Ensures equipment is maintained and functional at all times by performing routine maintenance as needed.
  • Ensures work area is clean and orderly and meets RTM and safety standards.
  • Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with safety standards.
  • Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with safety standards.
  • Maintains a professional image and demonstrates courteous behavior with customers and other team members.
  • Attends all required staff meetings, training seminars and maintains required certifications.
  • Arrives on time to work each day scheduled.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Basic Vehicle Service - Perform Safety Inspection

  • Determine fluid type requirements and identify fluid.
  • Check and adjust engine oil level.
  • Check and adjust engine coolant level.
  • Check and adjust power steering fluid level.
  • Check and adjust brake fluid level.
  • Check and adjust windshield washer fluid level.
  • Check and adjust differential/transfer case fluid level.
  • Check and adjust transmission fluid level.
  • Check and replace wiper blades.
  • Inspect, replace, and adjust drive belts, tensioners, and pulley; check pulley and belt alignment.
  • Inspect and replace air filter.
  • Check and adjust tire air pressure

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: General Service Technician Overall duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required spec. amount/weight of oil
  • Check tire pressure and condition
  • Check and top off all fluid levels
  • Perform Safety Inspection and Recommend necessary and manufacturer required services to sales and service personnel.
  • Rotate tires and visually check brakes
  • Place lube sticker on every vehicle serviced
  • Mount, balance and install tires
  • Complete all repairs in an accurate and safe manner
  • Accurately complete all paperwork
  • Assist in maintaining shop appearance and safety standards by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions
  • Interact with customers in a courteous and friendly manner, including returning vehicles in clean condition
  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized work area
  • Be at work and on time when scheduled.
  • Refer any technical questions to the Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager or Technician
  • Maintain knowledge of general automotive skills and continue to develop additional technical skills.
  • Comply with established safety programs, including wearing protective eyewear.

Certificates and Licenses:

*Valid Georgia driver’s license*
· Acceptable MVR Report (last 3 years)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
